Rain
Rain O Rain!
Thou stitch the sky to the earth.
With threads I wish would snap
Thou fall like words unsent
And do stay like wounds that won't heal.
O Rain!
Each drop, a name I cannot call,
Each splash, shooting the deep scars
They forgot, but thou still arrive
Like a hermit who knows heart's design.
Thou have come to soak the hollow
Buried seclusions, longings long forgotten
All pent-up fears, softening, soothing
I invoke the mist, to reach for you
To infuse some warmth to the frozen tears.
O Rain!
Thou must keep falling
Carry me with thee, my longings too.
To where thou goest, and where thou livest
Keep me wet till my tears turn into hopes.
