Rain On The Sun Poem by Muharrem Soyek

Rain On The Sun

Rating: 5.0

A cool breeze passed
Whistling through the grass
Just then the rain with wet hairs
Came down the olive trees.

What about the dark clouds?
No lightning has yet flashed!
Does it rain onto the sun?

Butterflies and birds
Thousands of them
All suddenly flapping wings
And it was your eyes
The rain-hearted blue skies;

Reaching out through the rain
That you kissed me so sweet and missing
I'm so happy since then
As if I am just born from a wet kissing.

Which idiot said
The birds and flowers are not you?
You are even the sun with rain-hair,
It's all you and you!
But always more than all
You are the soul of love inside me...
