Rain Rain Go Away Poem by Kirstine Rombaoa

In the middle of the silence of the wide dark sky
I felt the cold breeze of the wind passing by
While staring at the clouds, the rain started to fall on my eye
I have nowhere else to go, so I just stood there with a sigh

Thunders started to roar so I covered my ears
Saw a lightning strike and I started to feel fear
I got scared and screamed yet no one hears
I forgot I was alone and nobody except for me was here

I found myself crying and falling down the ground
Seeing my reflection, I refused to be as weak as this sounds
So I stood up on my feet and I started to look around
But still, only a small tree was what I found

Though I knew that the dark grey clouds and the rain would stay
Still I'd wait for the rain to get out of my way
When this ends I'll see the sun brighting up my day
But from now, I'll sing the song 'Rain Rain Go Away'
