Rainbow Poem by Ahmed Mobashshir Samani

Rainbow

When sunshine mingles with the rain,
It casts a rainbow you adore;
When happiness’ sprinkled o’er the pain,
You feel there’s no feeling sore;
When colors fly into the sky,
The water feels so nice and pure;
When pain subsides though for a while,
It seems you have found eternal cure;
Then sunlight grows and rainbow fades,
So you feel that the pleasure’s gone;
You crave for pain when joy abounds,
‘cause that is what you have always done;
You know the rain will come again,
And sun will hide behind the cloud;
You know the pain will come again,
And cast on heart a deathly shroud;
Thus you don’t need to feel the joy,
Or sadness in extreme, my friend;
‘cause king and pawn go back,
Into the same box when the game’ll end;
But that one chance eternal bliss,
Will always soothe your mind for long;
That you’re the one, who saw the rainbow,
You're the one who wrote the song!
