If you were raindrops I'd hold out my tongue to catch you as you fall,
savour the moment, feel you flow to nothing on each waiting taste bud,
I'd open the palm of my hand to feel your gentle splash,
watch in awe as you ring on my window, form rivulets that flow,
if you were raindrops I'd tilt my face skyward,
feel you falling onto my lips,
the coolness of your watery kiss a taste of heaven,
if you were raindrops I'd remain still as you envelop me,
waiting for the trickle as you flow down onto my cheek,
happy tears, gifts from above,
if you were raindrops I'd fill a glass as you succumb to gravity
drink you in like a fine wine, thus
taking you to the very heart of me
if you were raindrops
I'd run naked into you until the whole of me was you
and you me, melded to one, in love.
