We are each like a tree in the rain forest in the struggle to survive.
Trees both young and old, for it is not one tree but many that make the forest whole.
Through centuries providing medicine, food and shelter to those who find it home.
Purifies the air to breathe.
Its native people, fauna and flora very much alive.
Rainforests have been here for centuries, yet are so easily destroyed.
To clear the land where trees once stood, it will be too late, not fully understood.
Another story to be told, its secrets yet to be known.
Humankind only needs to understand.
We must take care of the rain forests and in return, medicine and food for the benefit of humanity.
Rainforests have been here for us, but while we are here, they are in our care.
To protect the forests which surround us, so they will be there for the future generations even after we are gone, evermore.
We must remember we are each part of the environment which surrounds us in the struggle to survive.
Rainforests have stories to tell.
Before they are forgotten, before it is too late,
For we are the caretakers, we share the land.
