Rainy Day Poem by DEEPIKA GANESH

Rainy Day

Pitter-patter calls the drops of the rain
yesterday when it came
I came running out to play
wearing a rain coat and boots
with a happpy cheerful face
I splashed and jumped
on the puddles 'Thlush Thlush'
as I was having fun
the thunder called 'Dum Dum'
and I had to run
inside the house I came rushing through
with a sigh of relief 'Phew'
I ate some hot and tasty snacks
and a cup of milk
and went outside with the window
I saw Betty wearing silk
outside the house I popped
but alas! the rain stopped
and clouds became separate
out appeared the sun's shiny bright face
the only thing I found was nice
after the rain was gone
was the pretty colourful rainbow
which was just born...
