Rainy Days Are Here To Stay... Poem by Rey Sanidad

Rainy Days Are Here To Stay...

Rating: 5.0

Here are the doleful dropp of rains,
And one would say the sky is weeping
The death of the tolerable weather.

Boredom cloaks the wit like a veil of clouds
And we sit down indoors to watch the raindrops.
Then I thought of the time we were together
when you asked me, if I love you.

And I said...
Yes, by that star I swear,
Which through tears above you
Shines so sadly and fair
Though often dim, with tears, like him,
Like him my truth will shine,

And... love you?
Yes, till death I'm yours.

Leave you?
No, that star is not more true
When my vows deceived you,
He will wander too.
A cloud of night may veil his light,
And death shall darken mine...

But... leave you?
No, till death I'm yours.

Now is the time for poetry colored with winter's tail.
Punch it down on the keyboard as fast
As ripe flowers fall from a perfect tree.
And I will dip down my lips into my cup
Each time I punch my poetry on the keyboard.

And keep my thoughts from wandering as smoke wanders,
For time escapes away from you and me
Quicker than birds.
