Rainy Nights From The Tears In Our Eyes

Rating: 5.0

Dear father forgive me for my sins
I tried to warn you that I would never win

Dear father what have I become
Does being wise mean, forgetting all I've known

Dear father why can't I see myself
There is no reflection and I'm done asking for help

you'll be okay
you'll be okay
you'll be okay
you'll be okay

Give me a sign
Are you writing an ending with tears in your eyes?
Is that why one day in my life is a rainy night?
These rainy nights from the tears in our eyes

Dear father why can't I be loved?
I am now used to the feeling of numb

Dear father there is a monster in my bed
I've come to realize that it was me instead

Dear father where up have you ever been
I've been calling, it was you that sinned

you'll be okay
you'll be okay
you'll be okay
you'll be okay

Give me a sign
Are you writing an ending with tears in your eyes?
Is that why one day in my life is a rainy night?
These rainy nights from the tears in our eyes

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I seem to always find myself burried in a pit of emptiness digging for meaning. This poem is exactly that.
