Raise Thy Sword - Poem by Tim De Brouwer

take sword in hand
before it's too late
i am coming
heading your way
with mine already in hand
swinging it at you
hope you're ready
because i won't wait any longer!

this game has been going on for way too long already
it's time i put and end to it
put and end to you
before you end me

i swing it all around
yet you seem to be able to dodge or block them all
i won't give up
i will beat you
for you are the one that stands in between me and the light
to free my soul from this everlasting darkness that is my life
i will defeat you and claim what's mine!

hear that?
this pulsating sound
it's the sounds of my heart
that's beating for the sake of defeating you
to slice you in half and open up the path to freedom

my sword is sizzling
waiting to cut you
slice you
stab you

now get out of my way
or raise thy sword and face me
for one last time!
