Reality Poem by David Butler

Reality

AS your world falls before you
You wonder what you see
Imagining your life flashing around you
Not knowing to believe

Desperation keeps you alive
While anger puts you to sleep
You are drinking a poison
And wonder why you weep

The white night falls around you
While the dark daylight pentrates your head
You are swimming through the sky, and flying through the sea
And you stare in confusion, at this deadly beauty

When every minute is a new season
And every day a new life
When you think you are running away from your deathbed
You may already be dead
