Reality Check Poem by She Exists

Reality Check

All I do is hear them talk
And swallow my feelings deep inside
Colors fade, Petals fall
Your love is no more suffice
We are one
That's what you say
Whenever we are by ourselves
But when the world
Is pointing sharp
You leave my hand
And turn your back
I fight with them all alone
Then you appear suddenly
A dreamland is what you claim
But all I bear are agonies
Like a naive I closed my eyes
Followed you without a thought
But when you said you love me much
I realised I was out of love
That's when my hallucination broke
I realised you were just a mess
Said goodbye, Check mated you
And left you for a reality check.
