Reappearing Stranger Poem by rue moyo

Reappearing Stranger

crossed paths when i had least
expected.
was having a terrible existence when fate said
we aught to meet.
u knew my gorgeous best friend
never thought u would ever know i existed.

hours passed as we talked like
friends that had not seen each other in a long while.
there was something about the atmosphere that day.
we talked.we laughed a lot.we teased.we had tea.
u carried me on your back.we played games
u layed on my bed.
i talked about my fears.
my joys.
to me you where like a page in my diary.
it was shockingly innocent, so humane, so natural.
u where my friend or was i just so desperate for companionship
but it cant be so because it felt so right.
all this happening the afternoon we met.
the bond was just too much.
then you had to leave.

was sad that u had to but u did not belong to me
and i did not belong to you.
someone else was waiting for you with
heart, mind, hands and i bet legs open too.

kept in touch being the friend you where.
met up months later and you took me for drinks.
you now wanted something more than friendship and i was
not willing to bugde.

sort of drifted, u busy withcho life and well,
me tryin to make a life for myself.

then ages later, at a time and venue unplanned
we met again.eyes met, heart missed beat.
again stranger we had met.
just like the first time we had met
fate had organised our meeting.

had drinks whilst we where catching up.
u still drove the same car it was nice i told you and that i liked it.
talked about my stupid relationship and how i was hating being in it.
u talked about your girlfriend.
cant really remember what you said about her.
guess i could not stand having you sit there gorgeous and all
talking about your babe not that you really said much come to think about it.

nice house you have.
nice everything.
you showed me magic
you were super dear.
thanks and thats our story.
thats where we end.
take care of your girlfriend so she does
not end up being a bitter girl like me,
angry at the world that only offers her fragmented joy.
do take care of her.
