i have no reason
to be who i am

i have no reason
to cry every night
but i do

i have no reason
to be depressed
yet i am

i have no reason
to still love
with all my heart
but i do

i have no reason
to smile in your eyes
but i do

i have no reason
to dress how i do
or talk with these words

i have no reason to hate you
i have no reason
to love you
but that doesn't mean i don't

i might not have a reason
for who i am
but i am what i am
and i'll do what i do
i might not always know why
and i might not have a reason
but i am who i am
