You don't come like thunder, or like fire
you come like the morning light instead,
filling up the silence gently of everything
I have ever said.
It's how the world feels lighter when you're just standing near
like even in my heaviest thoughts, they don't know how to stay here.
you are the calm within my storm
The soft when I think too much
The reason why my restless thoughts forget to dive into the muck
I notice in the littlest moments,
The way my name sounds when you say it
how even regular seconds start to feel like something special,
You don't do anything to turn my day around, just being in my world feels something that I have found at last,
if love is built on quiet pieces of patience
Then somehow without trying, you've made them all feel mine.
I don't need perfect forever, or promises carved in stone
Just the way you make me feel like, I've never been alone.
