Reason Why Poem by Rebecca Springsteen

Reason Why

Rating: 5.0

I no longer stop to think,
is it okay?
These things cannot put into words,
the reason why I don't want to speak.
The reason why I want to be left alone.
The reason why I want to punch a wall.
The reason why I want to just sleep.
The reason why I don't show up at lunch.
The reason why I just want to read.
The reason why I don't laugh.
The reason why I hide.
The reason why I can't look at all of those faces.
The reason why I no longer smile.
The reason why I have my headphones in.
The reason why I'm not the same.
The reason why I want to burn that jersey.
The reason why I want to frame that jersey.
The reason why I miss it all.
The reason why I miss that family.
The reason why I scream.
The reason why I am writing poetry.
The reason why I type this.
