Rebellion Poem by Jackie Chou

Rebellion

I don't love you for your salary
To be honest I don't give a damn
Whether you treat me steak or celery

I don't care if you have art in a gallery
Them and I, we don't think the same
I don't love you for your salary

The last thing I need is chivalry
I've been around and know the game
Whether you treat me steak or celery

Don't confuse me with your ex Valerie
I am not in this for money or fame
I don't love you for your salary

Please don't mention about reality
Rich or poor, I feel no shame
Whether you treat me steak or celery

It's good to starve, to save me some calories
No need to leave a penny to my name
I don't love you for your salary
Whether you treat me steak or celery
