Pen Pals Poem by Jackie Chou

Pen Pals

Rating: 5.0

I miss the sinuous curves
of our words-
the way our blue ink
pitter-pattered
onto scented pink stationary
filling it with stuff
we can now google online
Bohemian fashion
Lady Chatterley's Lover
the special stamps we bought
of paintings, birds, celebrities
to put on floral envelopes
cardboard photos
we kept in albums
like we were real
flesh and blood friends

Pen pals, what an oldfashioned time, but so cozily worded, ah that book Lady Chatterlley's Lover, that book I may not read, my Mom's big secret, LOL, this is a refresning and very enjoyable poem.5 Stars full on Top!

Well conceived and nicely brought forth. A passionate creation, nostalgic and very heartfelt.
