Rebirth Poem by Melody Thomas

Rebirth

Rebirth

I hear the spirits calling me
There beating on distant drums
The spirits are singing follow thee
To the sands of our mother earth
Do not forsake us, the rain has come
To give our grasses new rebirth
I hear the spirits calling me
With determination and no tears
Come fly with us and have rebirth
For our wise mother, mother thee
To the sands of our mother,
Mother earth.

Great is the rain, as by it comes much rebirth!
