Reciprocity Poem by refilwe ranape

Reciprocity

What a feeling, what a great feeling;
To give and get in return, a priceless, timeless a thing;
In abundance I do have, I do give!
I did receive, I still do, but how do I know if it’s unstipulated;
If it’s real, with no boundaries;
Only true hearts could know, this thing called love;

In my mother’s womb, I knew it existed;
On her breast I could feel it, as she chased away my hunger;
I knew it was real, I knew it was mine, the solace it brought me;
Peaceful sleep, no storm, no earthquake could shake me;
I had been sheltered, by this thing called love;

Years and years on, I can still feel it, it’s here, it’s here to stay;
I carve it up to all mankind, to anyone who cares to receive it from me;
Mhhhhh; my offspring, sometimes I wonder if he knows about it,
If he gets enough of it,
I know he does, he won’t say it, pride doesn’t allow him!
It feels good, he wants more of it;
But he does have it in him, I can see it in his ogle;
A miracle it is, this thing called love;

Do I, can I, will I, receive it? From an entity, I so badly desire;
Never, in my wildest dreams, loved this much!
Felt this way, with no reciprocity;
Give me some, give me some! !
I refuse to let my body go to dust, without the satisfaction it so badly desire;
My soul, my soul, how long can it go unsatisfied;
To eternity it can,
What I feel, what that entity feels, it’s all in the eyes when they meet,
It’s in the voice, the touch, it’s all I get;
I want more from that entity, this thing called love;

This piece is dedicated to all those who have given me love, to all i gave love to and still do, and to all who have failed to give me love in return....i love you still...to that entity, i am still waiting........i know you do....my heart is forever opened to let you in.....to my son, my love for you is eternal.....

refilwe - Reciprocity, karma, there are many names for it, but it is clear that we receive ten fold, what we give away. Blessings - Cheryl
