Recorded Message - Poem by Stuart Doggett

Magic spills from fingertips,
Sorcery is weaved,
The whole world slips.
Lips mouth bloated words,
Expand in your head,
Their meaning obscured.
Watching eyes all deceived,
What they see,
The mind believes.

Ritual replayed over and over,
Over and over into confusion,
Truth is lost within the beauty,
Only left with sweet illusions.
(Rewind)
Left with sweet illusions.
(Rewind)
Sweet illusions.

(Pause)
(Play)

Forbidden fruits ripe to eat,
Sin is forgotten,
Flesh tastes sweet.
Ancient words piled high,
Billowing dust,
Blocks out the sky.
Cling to crumbling earth,
Cover the cracks,
Preach its worth.

Ritual replayed over and over,
Over and over into confusion,
Truth is lost within the beauty,
Only left with sweet illusions.
(Rewind)
Left with sweet illusions.
(Rewind)
Sweet illusions.

Break the chains that ground you,
Let your spirit soar:
Venture from the dusty paths,
Fly above it all.
(Rewind)
Fly above it all.
(Rewind)
Fly above it all.

(Pause)
(Play)

Ritual replayed over and over,
Over and over into confusion,
Truth is lost within the beauty,
Only left with sweet illusions.
(Rewind)
Left with sweet illusions.
(Rewind)
Sweet illusions.
(Rewind)
Sweet illusions.
(Rewind)
Sweet illusions.
(Rewind)
Sweet illusions.

(Stop)
