Recycling Poem by Ray Feasey

Recycling

I had so much for many years
Just belongings bringing no light in

Early times great joy was given
The spoils of life that kept us driven

That you enjoyed are now derision
it's cool today to not to throw away

To sort ‘spent things' for other days
If not for you then someone else

It's not alarming nor discarding
it's not frightening
it's just recycling

With moving years less is required
No need for chattels
once acquired

Been there done that lived the dream
Minimalize just make life clean

You let me down you found another
Discarded me so there's no bother

Now you say you want me back
Though it's cool today to counterattack

Yet I am not trying to stick a knife in,
Just moving on it's just recycling!
