Red Poem by Liam Olney

Red

A wayward flood of emotion blankets his eyes
His face returns to it's decent.
The world pauses it's madness for a moment.
Eye's affix to the ground conscious slipping

Falling within a void so dark and cold
To bind his soul with chains
Held in place unable to resist
His will shatters and dances before his eyes

The soul caution's as the body travels the pale road
But the bound soul speaks only silence
A fimilar friend lights the way
Gleaming he cuts the chains

The soul screams in pain
Unheard the body still walks friend in hand
Coldness envelops his arm as the soul sighs
The world's madness returns

A familiar voice scream, faintly heard
He cannot find his words to reply
Motionless he moves with aid
Dragged from the void

'Red' he mumbles
'Always Red'
