Red Lights And Kisses Poem by R. L. Allen

Red Lights And Kisses

doing sixty down the freeway
radio turned up loud
proud to be here with you
just cruising along

the wind doesn’t howl
like the fire in our hearts
and the gail doesn’t breathe
as fast as us as we fly

in the sky
but wait,

just stop
you’ve run a red light
through speeding cars
you’d better hold tight now

don’t stop
then they’ll never find me
glowing green lights will
always remind me of this

of our first kiss

30th November 2010.
