Red Magic Poem by Marqese Dabbs

Red Magic

n the name of thy own desperation
I call forth the name of Aphrodite
As I am in a feeling of lamentation
Drenched in a state of unrequited love
Underneath the spiral eclipse
I speak the language of impulse and desire
To open the gateways to attract thy devotee
A layer of stars watch me
The cosmic creation born from light
It pales to the light in thy eyes of admiration
Painting the portrait of mesmerizing figure
She speaks the lullaby of a crescent moon
Only comparable to the secret Orchard
In the forest of the unknown
I wonder if she is an enthralling symbol
Waiting to be opened like a gemstone shrine
I don't want to be set ablaze and vanish
So I'll continue to suffer from the burden
Like troubled waters under the clash
Like a lonely hill with no moonlight to caress it
One day can I rejoice in the meadows of bliss
To have you enthralled by the red magic
