Red, Red Wine Poem by Parisha Shukla

Red, Red Wine

Red, red wine,
Flow through my soul.
Make me forget
That I still cling to this world.
Red, red wine,
It's only You.
All that I am, I've given.
Yet memories of self won't go,
Memories of self won't go.
I'd have sworn
That with time
Thoughts of this world would leave my head.
I was wrong.
Now I find
Only Your Wine makes me remember.
Red, red wine,
Stay close to me.
Don't let me be alone.
It's tearing apart
My longing heart.
I'd have sworn
That with time
Thoughts of this world would leave my head.
I was wrong.
Now I find
Only Your Wine makes me remember.
Red, red wine,
Stay close to me.
Don't let me be alone.
It's tearing apart
My longing heart.
Red, red wine,
Stay close to me.
Don't let me be alone.
It's tearing apart
My longing heart.
