Red Water Fall Poem by Fred Chamberlain

Red Water Fall

When the blade touches the skin
it's mouth waters, as it moves fast and swiftly
as a red water fall flows from your arm
the blade has a taste of blood
it cuts every hair in its path
but why does the teenager do this ritual
is it for fun, for pleasure, for attention
No, it is to stop anger form coming out
by taking it out on yourself
he knows it is not good
but he does it anyways
not because he wants to but because it is his ritual
he does it to save himself
to save others
