Refined Poem by adam que

Refined

Refined like garnish over platters of gold
Like an absent road leading only to excessive amounts around a lonely dome not truly a home
Refined like a scholar whos schooled amongst the brains of masters that share no cohorts of intellect
Who pamper the winds with Shakespearean rhetoric
But yet unprovoked by the properties of passion so in this certain element the scholar remains a derelict
Abhors the presence of imagination only relying on factual presumption
So hours upon hours of taking words as notes instead of letting the words become pockets of beautiful quotes and balloons of omnipotent poems that glide like metaphorical floats
Refined like dining with glitz n glam while the so called gracious gather around the champagne befuddled by the emptiness in ones hand
Socialites questioning the actions of a man whos simply willing to stand

So if this is what it means to be refined
Then I rather be the blind who can hear the chimes that evolve the times
And the deaf that can truly witness the signs that mark the proof up in the sky
