Reflections Of A Moon Rise Poem by ammu farheen

Reflections Of A Moon Rise

A moon rised upon my solitude,
My soul..my chill winter nights.
Showed me the marvels of this attitude,
My darkness....like a thousand lights.

since years I have had my life like this,
Like a silent sea but deep and dark indeed.
Never have had anything for myself except to miss,
The crowds, funs, joys..I really would need!

Its only the moonrise that fills,
After so many lengthy seasons,
Its only this solace that heals,
I have my mirrors broken for no reason.

Thousand words unspoke and some for a while,
Bringing back to me..my life..and a new air.
Takes me far a lifetime..a thought of being alive.
Leaving the richness of nothing behind..I have someone near.

so let me tune the broken strings,
Let me keep this night for myself,
Before this moon wanes off,
And before a dawn of death is set!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This one is for my loving brother kiran to convey to him that how much his words and presence have helped me heal my wounds when my life went through some real crisis.
