Refused Refuge (I'm A Garbage Can't) Poem by Sombra Sonata

Refused Refuge (I'm A Garbage Can't)

Refused refuge (I'm a garbage can't)

Garbage girl
You've been swimming
In a dirty underworld
You can look to the sky
Needing no man to try

No one can save your soul
When it's been torn
Unclean, never whole
You've played your part
Never knowing the role

Epitaph that reads
"Took the Ride,
Final Destination
Death Dear Lover
Forever Reunited"

And the only tears to fall
Aren't from a rain or heaven
But the juice from a seedy underbelly
Sewage leakage my beverage
Until death do us peace, apart

A thousand deaths
In the moments called time
I no longer can live
Where my past once lie
And I fold the sheets of my bed
Once remembered where I bled
And I sink
And I sink
And I fall down through it again

No saving what's rotten
Toss it into the tin can
She's a tin man
Who will never find Oz

Muddy soil, seeds sown
Hope is not a salvation
