Regression Poem by Okello Baloyi

Regression

I remember being loved, nights felt like a waste of precious moments, my heart never been on solitude but in a dreamland of its own, where fantasy increased the pumping rate as if my heart was racing with infinite love.

Happiness hasn't been on my path but the thought of sharing unconditional love revaluate the existence of my life, sleepless nights were something of my past, as I'd sleep with a smiling face.

Whatever makes mankind to be happy is addictive, I couldn't stand to be a slave of my own, intimidated by love evolution as if it was a harmful dependence, as I age regretfully and lonely.
