we had goldfish and they circled around and around
in the bowl on the table near the heavy drapes
covering the picture window and
my mother, always smiling, wanting us all
Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers to-day;
And give us not to think so far away
As the uncertain harvest; keep us here
All simply in the springing of the year.
The ring is on my hand,
And the wreath is on my brow;
Satin and jewels grand
Are all at my command,
Once there was a tree....
and she loved a little boy.
And everyday the boy would come
and he would gather her leaves
Thou still unravish'd bride of quietness,
Thou foster-child of silence and slow time,
Sylvan historian, who canst thus express
I woke before the morning, I was happy all the day,
I never said an ugly word, but smiled and stuck to play.
And now at last the sun is going down behind the wood,
Happy is England! I could be content
To see no other verdure than its own;
To feel no other breezes than are blown
Through its tall woods with high romances blent:
Age saw two quiet children
Go loving by at twilight,
He knew not whether homeward,
Or outward from the village,
Merry, merry sparrow!
Under leaves so green
A happy blossom
Sees you, swift as arrow,
Happy the man, and happy he alone,
He who can call today his own:
He who, secure within, can say,
Tomorrow do thy worst, for I have lived today.
IN drear-nighted December,
Too happy, happy tree,
Thy branches ne'er remember
Their green felicity:
I’m a happy dog at the beach
If I had the power of speech
I would tell you all
To throw my ball
Children, you are very little,
And your bones are very brittle;
If you would grow great and stately,
You must try to walk sedately.
A little black thing in the snow,
Crying 'weep! weep! ' in notes of woe!
'Where are thy father and mother? Say! '-
'They are both gone up to the church to pray.
Piping down the valleys wild
Piping songs of pleasant glee
On a cloud I saw a child.
And he laughing said to me.
How old are you today?
In the stillest hour of the night, as I lay half asleep, my seven selves sat together and thus conversed in whisper:
I do not question whether I am happy or unhappy.
Yet there is one thing that I keep gladly in mind --
that in the great addition (their addition that I abhor)
that has so many numbers, I am not one
"A seed is happy when it becomes a root,
a root is happy when it becomes a bud,
a bud is happy when it becomes a stem,
and a stem is happy when it becomes a flower.
She's finally happy as can be, finally happy the drama's gone, happy that the fakes are gone as well as far as she can tell, broken hearted to many times, finally happy to find the right man, the best decision she ever made, the man's love for her is a equal to, for reasons why she can not say but until that day she will always say, I love you, the man's finally happy he found the one, to play and sing for, anything she desires he will get, he is happy to for their love is as strong as any kung Fu, it is true for he and you, he and she, she and he, only time will tell if it's heard or hell, doesn't matter for they can tell, it's always gonna be heaven over hell both are finally happy to say I love you even till this day.
What is happiness - It can be a mood, feeling, emotion, thought, desire... you fill in the blank.
What makes you happy?
Love, money, peace, great health, wealth, people, a person, self, a house, car, designer clothes, time, communication, freedom, nothing...
Happy hour happy hour
Happy hour i feel the power
Happy hour i am like a flower
Happy hour in my ivory tower
Are you happy as a flower?
Are you happy as a tree?
Are you happy for the smiling power?
Are you happy to be free?
Within the paradigm of life, it's been empirically proven that Humans seek happiness more than anything else, believing that a happy heart thinks straight in all spheres. In the same vein, Humans seek love as a well so grave knowing with love happiness will come through. They seek money with an assurance that money is like a tool, a compass that guides and directs their path to the place where happiness sprouts forth. Well, within the sphere of my knowledge, i know there are exceptions to this but before you medias hurl in your comments, spare me some minutes to address this reall quick.
Looking from the clues of listed sources or ways to be happy from the ones mentioned above, it's been seen from the societal perspective of life that money is the only medium through which one measures worldy success, but what we fail to understand or in a lighter note, what we know but ignored all the time is the fact that we always believe money can buy us happiness. Well it will go a long way but money can't afford happiness, and you should know neither can poverty.
Am I Happy?
The best things in life come in the form of simple thoughts. Today afternoon, I felt something beautiful. It made me think. Is happiness as we perceive what it is? Or is it beyond what we really think it is? I really don't think I have an answer at this point, so let me pen it down.
What's the use of crying, in a Yesterday that's gone?
What's the point of worrying, in a Tomorrow not yet born?
Why not live in bliss and joy and peace?
In the present moment be happy, be happy, can we please?
A Blues Song
There's no other musical genre quite like the blues. Steeped in lyrical emotion and sultry melodies,
it's easy to understand why blues music has had such a deep and lasting impact
Writing a poem is not about bringing some words together to create some charming sentences. It's so much deeper than that. Writing poetry is a bridge that allows people to express their feelings and make others live every single word they read. Poetry is to educate people, to lead them away from hate to love, from violence to mercy and pity. Writing poetry is to help this community better understand life and live it more passionately. PoemHunter.com contains an enormous number of famous poems from all over the world, by both classical and modern poets.
