Regret Poem by Brittany Helt

Regret

I should have thought twice that night
I should have always listened "if you ever drink, please call home for a ride"
Instead life changed for just one wrong decision
The regret or pain I'd cause everyone with that one wrong decision
I played with fire and got burned
The night I got in my car and never turned the wheel
Now looking down from heaven I realize
Drinking and driving wasn't worth the pain I've caused
One senseless night the night I made my last wrong decision.
