Regret - Poem by Isaac Helms

Unable to say anything
Hardship that a memory can bring
Hiding in a limited space
The remains of an ancient race
There is no face on your soul
Darkest life hiding inside a hole
Doing everything wrong for no reason
Waiting on the change in season

Waiting to find someone to blame
Watch the thousands die for a name
Have different problems with one cure
A choice to make yet unsure
Aching body needs some rest
Dreams that say what is best
Complicated and hard to understand
Running off to a foreign land

Everything is going out of control
There is no face on your soul
Our fate is within her hands
Bliss comes to those in her band
Embracing this darkness deep
Our souls the darkness will keep
The darkness of night surrounds
Far from this world we are bound
