Reject Me Poem by Harry Robbins

Reject Me

Rating: 4.5

Reject me oh you contended needy
Take them all the happy blessed
Beg I to love and give to you now
You tell me this is not my quest

I only want to give you my charity
You close the door and reject my love
Others go in and out but never inviting
I never will be one of your beloved

My heart screams red day and night
No more can I take rejection of my light
I am not one against the world as you are
I am nothing against this constant plight

Time to give up my spirit says
As I watch doors open and close
And you go in and out, in and out
Always rejecting me, I am a dead rose.
