Relaxed Vacation Poem by Victoria Horn

Relaxed Vacation

The sun is setting
Grass is swaying
Warm breeze fills the air
Little children are still playing

Fire Flies
Stars in the sky
What a beautiful night it is
Enjoying the last piece of sweet blackberry pie

Rocking chair is nodding
The moon tucks me in
It's such soft light
Sleep asks where I have been

I tell sleep
I'm sorry I've been away
There are more exciting events
Happening in the day

Don't get me wrong
I enjoy sleep too
Since you are not human
It can only be explained to you.
