Caught in a net of emotions
Swirling adrift with the tide
Dreading the answers she is seeking yet knowing that she cannot hide
The trust they share is immense, the bond to hard to break
If only she had followed her instinct this pain would be easier to take
He offered her nothing but truth to guide and nurture her
She read too much into his words and now her world is unraveling
The student has fallen for the teacher, the worst thing she could have done
Her mind tried hard to deny it, but in the end it was her heart that won
And now – laden with regrets and alone; she struggles with how to atone
Empty and void
Sleepless and low
She knows what is best
She just has to let go
