Reflections in the mirror or the bumper of a car,
Everywhere reflections show us who we really are.
Reflections in the water, as we gaze out on the lakes
Distorted by the ripples, makes us think of our mistakes.
Reflections in the window, as transparent as can be,
Tells is we must look beyond an old faded memory.
Reflections in sunglasses that are hiding someone’s eyes,
Bring out suspicions; makes us ask the question, why?
Study your own reflections and like chapters in a book,
There are pages from your life all you have to do is look.
So when you see reflections; learn to seek what they may say.
There are lessons to be learned each and every day.

Commendable work, J.M...Light, and simplistic, yet compendiously rich to muse on....Your employment of couplets works well, here. ~ FjR ~ ..2008..
