Religion Poem by kevin mccurry

Religion

Rating: 5.0

Religion

A human invention, causing so much devastation
What was our intention creating religion?
We can look at the stars and use are imaginations
Who put what where? created a lot of Differing explanations.
Before humans arrived species lived with no religion.
Surviving each day was there only intention.
In the blink of an eye they where faced with extinction
A rock from above serving their
annihilation
Then we arrived with supreme expectations
Alas to be stopped in our own ignorant infestations..
That we could improve our unique abode with our differing and childish altercations
Was this really our sole purpose in our very short Creation?
To kill each other, causing our very own annihilation?
Well that is my opinion of the destruction that can evolve by misguided religion.
