Remains

She was queen in many hearts
A paragon of beauty
Her piercing blue eyes
And intelligent look
Bestowed with
Silent poetic personality
Was envy of others?

She fell trapped in the grip of a
Dangerous illness
Which was chronic and fatal.
A ray of hope shines
In her quivering eyes
When I console her
And pray to God
For a long life and recovery.

She was on her crutches
Thin, frail and fragile
Like a blasted mountain
She was loosing flesh and blood.
Bulging belly looked catastrophic
Deserted blunt eyes were speechless
She looked helpless
And shrugged
When I left.

After a month
I reached
There was silence everywhere
I searched for her
But she was no more
Can I forget her memories?
