It's hard to think that time flies
and how you aren't capable of slowing things down
it's hard to imagine how life is fast
and how people you love go away sooner than you imagined



think of all the times you will have
the birthdays you'll celebrate
and all those Christmas cheers you'll spend
and how many new years you'll have



life is too short
we'll never know how we'll end up
but the truth is, we don't need to know how it ends
we just have to know how to spend it wisely
