Remember Poem by Mark De Pena

Remember

REMEMBER

Remember when we were young
Skippin' stones across the lake
When all our favourite hits had been sung
And the beautiful music we did make

Remember those days walking on the sand
Seeing surf come rolling to the shore
Walking that beach there hand in hand
And at the end just wanting more

Remember those days when we kissed goodnight
We'd smile looking into each other's eyes
Remember those days of pure delight
Our love for each other was no surprise

I remember those days but now we're both old
And those days are now but memories
But onto those memories, we will always hold
As we share with all our contemporaries

We smile and kiss and look at each other
That smile remains the same
We've shared our lives as husband, wife and lover
We're still are players in this love game

Still players in this love game here hon
Still players in this love game
You know you will always be the one
Still players in this love game
