Remember - Poem by Paul Gerard Reed

Enjoy the remembering of days
When kinder thoughts our minds accost
The little corners to which the memory strays
Of times abandoned and lost;

Think back and hold the thread
Feel warm in yesterday’s glow
What happened then can never be dead
Although it was long ago;

For our very soul and being
Is made of the past, it’s joys and sorrows
Looking back is also seeing
The truth of our tomorrows.
