Remember Me Poem by Alavi Maliha

Remember Me

What if I die?
Like a cold caged bird,
In a cold heart of hymn,
Like a forgotten little girl?
Around the season we won't meet
We won't lie under the starry sky on white sheets,
Or maybe you'll lie there as I become the stars!
I'll watch over you, I promise
Healing your wounded scars.
My words would disappear as I whisper
Time that'll mend all the all the hushes,
Will I be glowing like a shining star?
Day 7, and here I'll be forgotten,
Or maybe remember me at times,
In the rain, in the pain, on your eyes closed shut.
The clouds will appear and rain on you
But the flowers will still be dry on my grave,
When the sunshine leads you through.
