Remembering Mr.Brown Poem by Sherri C.'s Little Sis

Remembering Mr.Brown

Rating: 5.0

When you reach out
to touch yesterday
Remember the quivering breeze
the stillness whispering in the trees
Remember how the headlines read
Another dark night -Another almost dead
Don't look at me
Don't touch me
Just get on your knees before me
Remember
isn't that what you said?
Remember the fields of flowers
the play of sunlight on
my blackened body
Remember between life and death
there are just shades of gray
Took my life-
and abandoned me in a cold naked hell
You took until there was nothing
left to take
Remember the only love
you had to give
was fake
