Remembrance Poem by Md. JAMIL

Remembrance

Once, the face that captured me,
made me fall in love,
Is now slowly fading away.

Once, the love you showed
The love that drew me close,
made me care for you
is now no where to be found.

Time has changed, and so have you,
And so has your love.
Why can't I bear this bitter truth?
It feels as though time is frozen,
Spinning in a loop, time and again.

Those days now feel like a dream.
Your positive vibes were all I had.
You understood me without complaint,
You played it cool with everything
Until, somehow, you felt disturbed
When I chose not to be paranoid.

Now, remembrance is all I have
A ghost that won't depart.
I hope you're not wondering
About my fragile heart.
Like seasons turn, and so do we,
And love forgets its touch.
