Reminders

Remind me of my love for you
I think I may forget...
Like I'll forget the sky is blue
but I haven't yet...
Remind me, why I came to you...
Will it leave my mind, this soon? ..
As if I could forget the soft
blue light of the full moon...

Tell me that I long for you...
I may not know that much...
But don't say that I'm wrong for you..
And lose that gentle touch...
Say to me that I'm the one...
You dream of every night...
Till bathed in early morning sun...
Awakened, by the light...

Tell me to remember
what I hold here, close to me..
Unblind me, to the glowing ember...
our love came to be...
Remove the fear that I someday
will lose you, lose myself...
Don't leave the love you have for me...
high upon the shelf...

Bring it down to me...
and show, what you cannot forget...
I have some things, that you should know..
accept with no regret...
Refresh your thoughts of us...
so I can sleep, with peace of mind..
And stop the eyes that cry, that weep..
with tears made of the kind...

The kind that might make me forget..
how much that I love you...
And think love might forsake me yet...
my heart knows what to do...
So remind me love, of all these things...
so they stay in our minds..
As if the bird that flies, that sings...
could forget the song, he finds...

Forget to fly, to soar...
in endless skies of deep, and blue...
No forgetting, and I can't ignore...
the whys, the me, and you...
If I forget the world is spinning round...
that is the day...
That you've forgotten me, my love
and torn the world away....
