Reminiscence Poem by Micheal Olaniyi

Reminiscence

Can i drink away my pains
then how much is the whole bar?
Can i live a life without tears
i'll say yes, looking way back
how we laugh
through the pearly street
how we kiss our lips
when sharing little meat
what of the intent gaze
in my eyes and tell me
'i love you'
her soft ear is what i bites
and whisper in it
'i love you too'

did you know how this is:
the wave of the ocean
rising and falling every seconds,
the euphoria in a lucky dog
seeing an edible bone to eat
that is how i feel
everytime around her
and we make love interesting
than those watched in the cinema

but i was oblivious of her plan
she carry out the most artistic feeling she could muster in my life
without a pang of guilt
i wonder how perfunctorily
lies spewed off her mouth.

i realize i have choosen her
and she also does
but out of sarcasm
as i reminisce on my memeoirs
i wallow in pains
my heart bleed
and my blood is my liquor
so this is how you love me?
