Rendezvous Poem by Marie Bliss

Rendezvous

If you really saw me
time would stand still
and you'd forget about there being an end.

We'd transcend dimensions,
raise our glasses off the Earth,
to glimpse eternity,
look back and dream,
the meaning of our travels
as though we'd barely escaped,
like it was all real!
Wake up sweating, from a nightmare
Where Tops was screaming
Open the window!
Open the window!
risking a spider bite to the stomach,
We reach
We wake
Time stands still again.
We look into eternity straight faced
dropp abruptly back down to the Earth
take a deep breath
and count our blessings.
