Rent Poem by Claude H Oliver II

Rent

The body we have
Whether hale or weak
Energetic, vivacious or calmly sweet
Helping others or fighting same
When all is said and done
We pay one rental – death
Regardless time or deeds
To use or misuse flesh and bones
Cost still the same
For each and everyone
Inexplicable conundrum.
